Anyone who knows Dr Hegde knows that she is a caring and gentle practitioner. Dr Hegde has a wealth of knowledge and experience, acquired after spending the past 16 years working in cosmetic medicine. She developed an interest in this field many years ago, whilst gaining skills in the laser treatment of birthmarks and vascular conditions. Subsequently, a growing demand for her cosmetic treatments led to Dr Hegde developing expertise in facial rejuvenation. Working with a Dermatologist in laser and cosmetic dermatology for 5 years, Dr Hegde gained experience and an interest in lasers and skin rejuvenation therapies. For the last 10 years she has contracted her services to an established cosmetic medical practice. "I realised I had significant skills in cosmetic medicine and an ability to communicate clearly and empathetically. Patients commented about my gentleness. I enjoy the aesthetics of facial rejuvenation. Apart from the science and technical skills required, I enjoy the artistry of injecting with facial fillers and muscle relaxants. I absolutely love seeing my patients looking refreshed and happy with their results. My practice has grown from there, generally by personal recommendation." It is telling that the vast majority of Dr Hegde's patients have been with her for many years. She understands the needs of her patients and uses simple, non-surgical techniques to improve appearance and well-being. "I aim to create a natural, freshened look in my patients, never looking artificial or done. I do make an effort to be as gentle as possible." Treatments The clinic provides a caring, professional medical environment with an empathetic, skilful approach to treatment. We specialise in wrinkle reduction using dermal fillers and muscle relaxants, treatment of hyperhidrosis, skin peels and sclerotherapy. Medical Qualifications Dr Anita Hegde graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Otago Medical School, New Zealand. She completed rotations in Ear Nose and Throat surgery, Cardiothoracic , Plastic Surgery, Emergency Medicine and General Medicine. Post-Graduate Qualifications - Certificate in Sclerotherapy from the Australasian College of Phlebology - awarded the certificate medal for placing first in Australasia.

Dr Hegde regularly attends conferences in the USA, Europe and Australia on cosmetic, laser medicine and phlebology (non-surgical treatment of leg veins). She has attended workshops in the USA and Canada on laser treatments, skin peeling, muscle relaxants and injectable dermal fillers. She has spent time in Los Angeles and Canada training with prominent Dermatologists in laser and cosmetic medicine. She has presented to the Cosmetic Physicians Society of Australia at their annual conference, on the topic of vascular lasers.
